Well, what a start to the leisure season! With the (unpredicted) harshest of winters behind us the Spring season has surprised us all with some beautiful sunshine that we wouldn’t expect until June or July! Sounds like it’s time for a nice break in the caravan!
Many of us are getting our caravans and motorhomes out of winter storage to find that we forgot to maintain the battery over Winter (tut tut!). Remember that you should ideally remove the battery from the vehicle and leave connected to an optimising charger whenever not in use. This is because any battery will lose charge over time even if not in use. Severe damage can be caused to any battery left discharged by a process known as sulphation which in most cases is unrecoverable.
